Culp, Stephanie. How to Conquer Clutter. Reader's Digest Books, U.S.A. 1990
This book is great for people who feels quite confident about their ability to clear out clutter on their own and knows exactly what the problem is (magazines, memorabilia, etc.) The book is set-up in alphabetical order and is very specific.

Emmett, Rita. The Clutter-Busting Handbook Random House of Canada, 2005
This book covers both the theory behind why people accumulate clutter and the very practical tips you might need to tackle any particular type of clutter. Emmett also packs her book with thought-provoking one-liners and short stories. A fun read for anyone who is into getting organized.

Gibson, Katherine. Unclutter Your Life. Beyond Words Publishing Inc, 2004
This book is all about the impact clutter has on people's lives. Gibson, a clutter-bug having used the services of professional organizers, closely examines how she has freed herself from feelings of guilt & stress by dealing with the clutter in her home and mind. A very interesting book I highly recommend to my clients.

There are also all sorts of websites that can provide very helpful and timely tips for very specific clutter issues- simply "google" your trouble and you will find someone who has a remedy. There are three websites, however, that are excellent if you are looking to find out more about professional organizers and what they do.
